The Mahomet Area Youth Club serves members ages 6-18 and their families. For over 300+ youth each year, we work to improve attendance, grades, behavior, and school engagement. Our goal is to ensure all students have a safe and supportive place to go when school is not in session. We serve Mahomet youth with the following programs*NEW* After the Bell

After School Programs
After the Bell |1-9
The After the Bell program provides a safe, welcoming, and engaging space for children after the school day ends. Our goal is to support families by offering quality care while helping kids grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
During After the Bell, children can:

Participate in arts, crafts, and STEM activities

Join sports, fitness, and recreational games

Develop life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving

Engage in social and emotional learning and programs focused on kindness, empathy, and violence prevention
Out-Of-School Program (Winter, Spring, Summer)
Our Out of School Program provides children with a safe, supportive, and enriching environment during non-school hours. Designed to complement the school day, this program focuses on learning, growth, and fun, helping children stay engaged academically, socially, and physically.
Participants in the program can:

Out of School Programs
Summer Day Camp | Ages 6-15
MAYC hosts a full day camp with age-specific activities. Youth enjoy field trips to parks, pools, and museums; as well as skill building programs like reading, crocheting, and social development. Supports 120 youth per year.
Spring & Winter Break | Ages 6-15
MAYC offers full-day programming with age specific activities, trips, and skill building during the spring and winter school breaks for working parents. Supports 80 youth per year.
At MAYC
- Activities aimed at developing life skills including teamwork competitions, and thought-provoking games.
- Visits to parks, pools, and local attractions in the Mahomet and Champaign-Urbana area.
- Physical activity opportunities including time at community gyms, outdoor games, movement classes, and an introduction to sports.
- Free play and access to a pool table, ping pong, foosball, air hockey, basketball, and a complete playground.
- This past summer, we spent as much time outside as possible! We went fishing, tubing at Kickapoo, swimming at Clinton Lake, fun at Homer Lake playscapes and much more!
